Age Verification.... Why?

It is a common question as why Cryptic Social has taken the path to mandate age verification through government identification before allowing restricted content to be seen. I'm hoping you will take a moment for us to explain, and hopefully gain your support.

First and foremost, Cryptic Social stands firm in our commitment to protecting the children of this world.

Content that is for adults, should remain for adults. Having a simple popup saying that content could be for adults, isn't enough. It is not the most accepted path, and we hope to pioneer the digital landscape with an environment that can be tailored to the experience you want, while protecting children's eyes and minds from things they do not really undersand.

If a liquor store simply had a sign stating, "if you enter this door you are agreeing you are 21" and sold alcohol to children who simply entered the building without regard to the sign... Is this ok? No. Then what is ok with a popup agreeing someone is over 18 and a simple click allows content delivery without verification?

So, we decided, and hope you agree, sometimes what is right isn't always the easiest way, and we implemented automated age verification. It is simple, easy, and can be completed in under a few minutes.

We do not save any of the uploads for age verification. It is processed, verified, and everything is removed from our servers. We value you, we value you as a member of Cryptic, and we will protect you and your privacy.

The content rating system on Cryptic Social is very simple, but extremely effective. When you first signed up, you were required to agree to rating the content you post accurately.

There is very little oversight on Cryptic Social. Anything lawful, can be posted, and we will not remove it. It is expected however, if it is for adults, it is rated accordingly. Be responsible.

All accounts before age verification have access to: G, PG, and PG-13 content.

Pressing the Verify age button will take you to our automated verification page, with complete instructions on how to proceed. It will be done from the camera on your device, or webcam if on a PC. It is a quick and easy process. After age verification is complete, you will receive the 18+ profile badge, and content will be unlocked.
